Audiences kept returning because of the relevance of its themes, the immediacy of its expression and the feeling that the stage is in constant dialogue with the time in which we live.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"875\" data-end=\"915\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"962\"><strong data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"962\">A STAGE THAT HAS ALWAYS PUSHED BOUNDARIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"964\" data-end=\"1104\">The Evening Stage opened on <strong data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1009\">March 7, 1986<\/strong>, with the production <em data-start=\"1031\" data-end=\"1053\">\u201cMisterija\u2026 Beograd\u201d<\/em> directed by <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Ivana Vuji\u0107<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1106\" data-end=\"1648\">In the years that followed, the stage hosted works by <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Branislav Nu\u0161i\u0107<\/span><\/span>, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Mikhail Bulgakov<\/span><\/span>, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">V\u00e1clav Havel<\/span><\/span>, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">S\u0142awomir Mro\u017cek<\/span><\/span>, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Ivo Andri\u0107<\/span><\/span>, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Charles Bukowski<\/span><\/span> and <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Niccol\u00f2 Machiavelli<\/span><\/span>, as well as contemporary Serbian authors such as <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Dragoslav Mihailovi\u0107<\/span><\/span>, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Du\u0161ko Radovi\u0107<\/span><\/span>, <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Bora \u0110or\u0111evi\u0107<\/span><\/span> and <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Milovan Vitezovi\u0107<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1650\" data-end=\"1872\">The repertoire has always been diverse \u2014 ranging from drama and cabaret to monodrama, contemporary dance and music-theatre projects \u2014 guided by a clear idea that theatre must take risks and constantly search for new forms.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1874\" data-end=\"1914\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"1916\" data-end=\"1965\"><strong data-start=\"1916\" data-end=\"1965\">FROM THE DIFFICULT NINETIES TO A NEW MOMENTUM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1967\" data-end=\"2160\">The 1990s brought crisis and war, which led the theatre to focus primarily on productions for children. Nevertheless, the Evening Stage remained an important part of the institution\u2019s identity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2162\" data-end=\"2353\">A new momentum came in the early 2000s, when <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Malo pozori\u0161te \u201eDu\u0161ko Radovi\u0107\u201c<\/span><\/span> introduced the <strong data-start=\"2262\" data-end=\"2291\">Stage for Young Audiences<\/strong> and once again strengthened its evening programme for adults.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2355\" data-end=\"2626\">During this period, productions from the Evening Stage appeared at major festivals such as <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">BITEF<\/span><\/span> and <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Sterijino pozorje<\/span><\/span>, as well as numerous international festivals, confirming the artistic significance of the stage.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2628\" data-end=\"2668\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"2670\" data-end=\"2697\"><strong data-start=\"2670\" data-end=\"2697\">THE EVENING STAGE TODAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2699\" data-end=\"2931\">With the arrival of director <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Bojana Karajovi\u0107<\/span><\/span> and artistic director <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Damjan Kecojevi\u0107<\/span><\/span>, the \u201cRadovi\u0107\u201d Evening Stage has gained a clearly defined and artistically strong repertoire profile.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2933\" data-end=\"3165\">Contemporary dramatic texts, socially engaged themes and distinctive directorial poetics form the foundation of a programme addressed to both young and adult audiences, without avoiding the complex questions of contemporary society.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3167\" data-end=\"3629\">The current repertoire includes the productions <em data-start=\"3215\" data-end=\"3249\">Ako p\u010dele nestanu sa lica zemlje<\/em> (directed by <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Anja Su\u0161a<\/span><\/span>), <em data-start=\"3305\" data-end=\"3329\">Sjaj zvezda na plafonu<\/em> and <em data-start=\"3334\" data-end=\"3352\">De\u010dak sa koferom<\/em> (directed by <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Damjan Kecojevi\u0107<\/span><\/span>). These productions have received numerous awards and international invitations, attracting strong responses from both critics and audiences and confirming the relevance of the Evening Stage in today\u2019s theatrical landscape.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3631\" data-end=\"3937\">Alongside its repertoire development, the Evening Stage has also received a new visual identity created in collaboration with the agency <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">New Moment<\/span><\/span>.
