We’re thrilled to share the news that the 12th edition of the Ambient Theatre Festival Novi Tvrđava Teatar has come to a successful close. Held at the picturesque Villa Stanković in Čortanovci, this year’s festival took place under the powerful slogan: “Don’t Silence Socrates.” Once again, the festival brought together distinguished artists and a new generation of inspired performers — and this year, special recognition went to the play Tesla, produced by the Little Theatre Duško Radović , which received an impressive three awards.

The jury, composed of Nevena Erić (acting student), Nenad Pećinar (actor), and Vladimir Kopicl (writer and jury president), presented the Milan Lane Gutović Acting Award to Bojan Žirović for his portrayal of Nikola Tesla, praising his precise and captivating narration, as well as his subtle yet commanding stage presence. A Special Award was given to Srđan Marković for his overall musical and acting contribution in the same production, where, as the jury noted, he built the rhythm of the performance and shaped the overall atmosphere of the piece. Another Special Award was presented to young actor Petar Lazarević for his roles in the plays The Professional (produced by ULICA Theatre and the Faculty of Contemporary Arts, Belgrade) and Tesla, in which he portrayed the young Nikola Tesla. Through his performance, the jury highlighted, contemporary issues faced by today’s youth were vividly brought to life on stage.

The play Tesla will be performed at the Little Theatre  Duško Radović on September 12 and 25 at 8:00 PM, and on September 13 at 5:00 PM.
